Oriental Casserole

In skillet cook until meat is brown:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 cup chopped celery
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • Drain fat. Add:
  • 1 cup water – bring to a boil
  • Combine 2 tbsp constarch
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger

Blend:

  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1/4 cup soya sauce
  1. Add to beef mixture. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Stir in one 16 oz can chop suey vegetables (drained) Break apart one 10 oz pkg frozen peas. Add to beef mixture. Pour into 2 qt. baking dish. Cover and freeze.
  2. Before serving: Bake frozen Casserole covered at 400 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Uncover and bake 15 mins more.
