LEMON SQUARES

Crust

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Filling

  • 1/4 c. lemon juice
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

CRUST

  1. Melt butter in 9 x 13 inch pan.
  2. Mix flour and powdered sugar.
  3. Pat down to make crust.
  4. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. 4 eggs, beaten

FILLING

  1. Beat together and pour over hot crust
  2. and bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
  3. Sift powdered sugar over top.
  4. Let cool.
  5. Cut in small squares.
