Mary Ann’s Cookies by Frankie Pike

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 ½ cups raisons
  • 1 cup water (cold)
  1. Boil raisins in water for 5 minutes . Let cool. Cream butter, brown sugar, egg, beat well and add sifted dry ingredients. Stir in raison mixture and vanilla. Drop by teaspoon on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 3500 for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen.
