Mary Ann’s Cookies

- 1 cup butter
- 1 ½ cups brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 ½ cups raisons
- 1 cup water (cold)
- Boil raisins in water for 5 minutes . Let cool. Cream butter, brown sugar, egg, beat well and add sifted dry ingredients. Stir in raison mixture and vanilla. Drop by teaspoon on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 3500 for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen.
